The Dormitory

((@Sfot: I know you liked 'The House' as a title, but it sounded too mundane for my tastes.))

In it's own plane of existence lies the Dormitory. Simply put, it is an island on an endless stretch of sea. Now as for a more complex description.

The dormitory is a nexus for creatures and beings from all realms. Only trans-worlders are lucky enough to visit this realm, and even fewer can live here. There are 5 primary buildings, all connected by elevated glass walkways.

The Core: The largest building, it is 4 stories tall. The levels are as follows:
1. Commons Room: This room contains a large amount of chairs and couches, with a large dais in the middle.
2. Kitchen: This is where food and cooking devices are kept. It also doubles as a Dining room.
3. Bedrooms: This level consists of a large hall with many doors on the sides. through each door is a Bedroom and a bathroom. The bedroom consists of whatever decorations or furniture that the resident desires. Inside the bathroom is both a shower and bath.
4. Observatory: This is the top level, and both the walls and ceiling are made of unbreakable glass. There are several different telescopes and binoculars. In the center of the room is a very large crystal. Looking through the different facets of the crystal will reveal different places and worlds, based on the tide and season.

The Gateway: In this building is a pit filled with water. The pit seems endless. On the walls are mirrors and doors. The ceiling is open, but always reveals a starry sky, despite the time of day. The doors open into different worlds, and the mirrors lead to different dimensions. The pit leads to many different realms of water, and the open ceiling leads to realms of space.

The Workshop: This building has many different gadgets and devices, from fusion cutters to a blacksmith's anvil. There are stairs down to a storage room, where different metals and supplies can be found. The room is designed for anyone to craft weapons or other devices they wish. There is also an aura of magic emanating around the building.

The Pit: This building is very reminiscent of the Roman Colosseum on Earth Prime, although it is square and made of marble. Creatures of all kinds live under the pit, and they are all kept alive by a crystal construct named the Caretaker. By request, The Caretaker will move the creature to the center of the arena, where one can battle said creature. There is a strong magic in the Pit that keeps any creature from dying, and instead they appear, fully healed, on a dais just outside.

The Garden: This building looks like a small toolshed surrounded by marble statues of all types. Once inside the building, it is revealed that it is much larger on the inside then it is on the outside. Inside the room, it is a very large forest of many types of flora. Also, there are harmless, domesticated forms of fauna, such as wolves and sheep. None of the creatures or plants require any nourishment.
